Great new adventures from the Adventure Company

October 10th, 2008 at 07:30pm Under Adventure+ Exotic locations+ Overland travel+ family vacations

The Adventure Company have extended their range of holidays on offer this year. They’ve increased their Family Adventures range and devised some great new Worldwide Adventures plus there’s a selection of very exciting Hands On Adventures - 12 trips designed to give passengers the chance to give something very real back to the regions they visit. These fantastic holidays have time scheduled into their itineraries (usually 2-3 days) to be spent helping out at projects directly benefiting the local people or helping towards conservation initiatives. Adventures range from participating with turtle patrols in Costa Rica (bound to be a family favorite!) to helping with English lessons and games at an orphanage in Vietnam and lots of other exciting choices.

There are also 6 new Adventure Collection trips, 21 new Worldwide Adventures and 9 new Family Adventures (incorporating 5 new Teenage itineraries).

Now with The Adventure Company you can stay with the family in Sweden’s Ice Hotel, go canopy climbing in Borneo or live as a gaucho in Argentina. In the Worldwide brochure there’s an increased range of overland adventures, adding holidays in Australia and New Zealand and further increasing their trekking range. The choices available are so varied, and there are so many of them, that you are sure to find something just right for you.

Plenty of choice for trekking vacations and other adventures

July 11th, 2008 at 01:10pm Under Adventure+ Exotic locations+ Overland travel+ family vacations

Trekking holidays are a great way to experience places and meet people that are completely outside our everyday lives. At one time this type of holiday was difficult to find, and restricted to people in their twenties by some specialist firms. That’s no longer the case.

The Adventure Company is offering trekking holidays to destinations as varied as the slopes of Kilimanjaro, North Africa and Nepal, as well as a number of family trekking holidays.

If you would prefer to do a little less walking, there’s plenty of other vacations to choose from, like China or the Inca Trail, plus family holidays in Europe, Egypt, India or on safari.

Many of these destinations have limited places, due to local Government licensing requirements, so book early to ensure your adventure of a lifetime is still available.

More than 50 years ago, it was possible to travel from India to Bangladesh by rail. This route was closed after increasingly fierce clashes between the mainly Muslim Bangladeshi population and Indian Hindus.

But now the line is set to reopen, after an agreement was signed today by Bangladeshi Communication Secretary, Mahbub ur Rahman and India’s High Commissioner in Bangladesh, Pinaki Ranjan Chakravarty. Tickets for the “Friendship Train,” as it has been called, are on sale for journeys starting from 14th April, the Bengali New Year.
