Sprinkled across the Emerald Coast like so many eye-catching sea shells, the towns and beaches of Florida’s panhandle have made millions of tourists happy to have visited, and will surely continue to do so indefinitely. If you’ve yet to make a journey here, the sooner you see what you’ve been missing, the better. The best advice you can follow is to book a vacation rental somewhere nice, somewhere like Miramar Beach. Settling in a comfortable place overlooking a gorgeous, activity-filled vacation wonderland might turn out to be the smartest thing you ever did.
Miramar Beach is one of many hot locations in the Florida panhandle/Destin area, but its versatility and loveliness make it a good choice for these purposes. You’ll be able to take day trips if so desire, but that won’t be necessary to experience the beach, restaurants, shops, sports, nature, and the vacation rentals. Condos on the beach and cottages with personality to spare are the way to go, as you’ll soon find out.
Let’s pick a popular property and walk through it, just in case you’re new to the prospect of anything that’s not a boxy, plain Jane hotel room. There’s a condo nestled into a high rise building, whose fifth floor balcony makes for the perfect place to gaze out at the Gulf or watch the sun set each night. Two master bedrooms makes this a comfortable arrangement for either two couples or a medium-sized family, and colorful bedspreads, brightly painted rooms, and modern yet comfortable furniture makes for an atmosphere that’s easy to get used to.
Even if you don’t think you’re the kind of person who takes to foreign environments, you’d be surprised at the way you can just sink into a place like this. The kitchen is not only fully-equipped, but easy to use. You’ll intuitively find your way around well enough to have your morning coffee, throw together a quick lunch after a morning on the beach, and fire up the grill for a fantastic evening feast if you so desire. There are plenty of eateries nearby, of course, but sometimes it just feels right to keep things casual and tailored to your needs and wants, not to mention the money you’ll save, too.
There’s an outdoor pool for when you need a change from the beach, and just down the road is a tennis court (with lights for night playing) and a couple of golf courses within reach. Staying fit will be simply fun, as snorkeling, swimming and surfing burn loads of calories as well. This hasn’t even factored in the fitness facilities that come as part of this vacation rental package, so those of you with a gym habit can get their weight-lifting or treadmill fix in order to make up for all the delicious food and tropical drinks that will no doubt be savored each day.
From major considerations, like whether or not this property is wheelchair friendly (it is) to small ones, like free beach chairs, many aspects of this experience will no doubt win you over. Perusing the listings online often becomes one of those vortexes that sucks away hours of your time in the blink of an eye; it’s pretty entertaining to ogle all the photos and read the juicy details of each fabulous Miramar Beach Vacation Rental.
This is just one example of many, and each has its own distinctive qualities that could make it just right for you and your traveling companions. Go ahead and take a look at what’s out there, and don’t be surprised if you’re soon headed to Miramar Beach for a satisfying getaway with all the trimmings.

When looking for hotel accommodation most people are very price driven in terms of making their choices. Finding out where you want to go and how cheaply you can stay there are very often the only factors that are taken into consideration. Couple this with the British attitude of “making the best of a bad situation” and being too accommodating when it comes to poor service, and it is no wonder there are so many hotel horror stories out there. As a travel writer I have certainly encountered a number through the years myself, however one of the best I

Certain destinations are just a little more polished than others. Not that visiting a rough, unpopulated island or a quiet countryside village don’t have their time and their place, but sometimes it’s nice to go somewhere that’s established itself as hospitable to tourists and well-prepared to show each and every visitor a fabulous time. Wild Dunes is just such a place thanks to its Southern hospitality, generous array of intriguing activities, and an unparalleled natural beauty.
A way to make a trip to South Carolina’s gem even better is to reserve a vacation property. Somehow between the beach, the outdoor activities

Madrid, Spain -- For the last three years, over 3,000 people have participated in the unique English language immersion program known as Englishtown. Two venues, a 16th century abandoned village and a plush country-style hotel, play host to a non-stop eight-day intensive conversation program. English native speakers from all over the world come as volunteers to learn about Spaniards and their culture in return for their board and lodging while the Spaniards seek to improve their fluency in the quickest, most intensive manner possible on earth. The participants, both English-speakers and Spaniards, exchange culture, conversation, knowledge and friendship.
